Ingredients

1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skin removed

1/4 cup teriyaki sauce

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

Thinly sliced green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon: Cut the salmon fillet into bite-sized cubes (about 1-inch). Place the cubes in a medium mixing bowl.

Make the Marinade: In a separate bowl, whisk together the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, garlic powder, black pepper, and sesame oil until well combined.

Marinate the Salmon: Pour the marinade over the salmon cubes and gently toss to ensure they are evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Coat with Cornstarch: After marinating, remove the salmon from the fridge. Sprinkle the cornstarch over the salmon bites and gently toss to coat each piece lightly. This will help create a crispy texture.

Air Fry the Salmon: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Place the salmon bites in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they do not overcrowd (you may need to do this in batches).

Crisp Up: Air fry the salmon at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through. The salmon should be crispy on the outside and cooked through.

Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove the salmon bites and transfer them to a serving platter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and top with thinly sliced green onions. Drizzle with additional teriyaki sauce if desired.
