The foundation of any great wrap lies in its tortilla. For our Avocado BLT Wrap, you can choose between whole wheat or spinach tortillas. Whole wheat tortillas bring a nutty flavor and a chewy texture that complements the other ingredients beautifully. They are packed with fiber and essential nutrients, making them a healthier alternative to regular white flour tortillas. Spinach tortillas, on the other hand, offer a vibrant green color and a slight earthy taste while also increasing the nutritional value of the meal. Both options provide a delicious base that supports the flavorful filling without overpowering it.

Ingredients

4 large whole wheat or spinach tortillas

1 ripe avocado, mashed

8 slices of crispy cooked bacon

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup leafy romaine lettuce, chopped

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Salt and pepper, to taste

Optional: hot sauce for a spicy kick

Instructions

Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste. If you want a spicy touch, add a few drops of hot sauce to the mixture and combine well.

Mash the Avocado: In another bowl, mash the ripe avocado with a fork until creamy. Sprinkle a little salt and lemon juice to keep it fresh and prevent browning.

Assemble the Wraps: Lay out each tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread a layer of the lemon-mayo sauce evenly over each tortilla, leaving about an inch from the edges.

Layer the Ingredients: On top of the sauce, add a generous scoop of mashed avocado, followed by 2 slices of crispy bacon, a handful of cherry tomato halves, and a handful of chopped romaine lettuce.

Wrap It Up: Starting from one end, tightly roll the tortilla over the filling to create a wrap. Tuck in the sides as you roll to keep the ingredients from spilling out.

Slice and Serve: Once all wraps are assembled, slice each wrap in half diagonally and serve immediately. Enjoy with extra sauce on the side if desired.
