9 lasagna noodles

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 cups marinara sauce

1 ½ cups ricotta cheese

1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp dried Italian seasoning

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Cook Lasagna Noodles: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

      Prepare Beef Mixture: In a large skillet over medium heat, add ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.

        Add Sauce and Seasoning: Stir in 1 cup of marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper into the beef mixture. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

          Prepare Cheese Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Mix well until smooth.

            Assemble the Roll-Ups: Spread a layer of the ricotta cheese mixture along each lasagna noodle. Add a layer of the beef mixture on top of the cheese. Carefully roll each noodle up, starting from one end.

              Place in Baking Dish: Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Place the lasagna rolls seam side down in the dish. Pour remaining sauce over the top of the roll-ups and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

                Bake: Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

                  Garnish and Serve: Let the lasagna roll-ups cool for about 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
