Ingredients

For the Pasta:

12 oz fettuccine or linguine

Salt, for boiling water

For the Cajun Shrimp:

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tsp Cajun seasoning

1 tbsp olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

For the Steak:

1 lb flank steak or sirloin, cut into thin strips

1 tsp Cajun seasoning

1 tbsp olive oil

For the Alfredo Sauce:

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tbsp unsalted butter

1 clove garlic, minced

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta:

    - In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add salt and the fettuccine (or linguine) and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining. Set the pasta aside.

      Prepare the Cajun Shrimp:

        - In a bowl, toss the shrimp with 2 teaspoons of Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.

          - In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

            - Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until they're pink and opaque. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

              Cook the Steak:

                - In the same skillet, heat another tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Season steak strips with 1 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning.

                  - Add the steak to the skillet and sear for about 3-4 minutes, cooking until it's browned and cooked to your preferred doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

                    Make the Alfredo Sauce:

                      - In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add 1 clove of minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.

                        - Pour in the heavy cream and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes. Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

                          Combine Everything:

                            - Return the shrimp and steak to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Mix well. If the sauce is too thick, slowly add reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.

                              - Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine, ensuring every strand is coated with the creamy sauce.

                                Serve:

                                  - Once everything is well combined, remove from heat. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and additional Parmesan cheese, if desired. Serve immediately, enjoying the rich flavors of Cajun spice mingling with the creamy Alfredo sauce.
