8 oz rotini pasta

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

8 oz fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini), halved

1 cup fresh basil leaves, roughly torn

¼ cup extra virgin olive oil

2 tbsp balsamic vinegar

1 clove garlic, minced

Salt and pepper to taste

¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the rotini pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside to cool.
