Ingredients

2 cans (16.3 oz each) refrigerated biscuit dough

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 can (15 oz) chili (your choice: beef, turkey, or vegetarian)

1 cup chopped green onions (optional)

1 cup diced bell peppers (red or green)

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (for garnish)

Sour cream (for serving, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish by greasing it lightly with cooking spray or butter.

Prepare the Biscuit Base: Open the cans of biscuit dough and separate each biscuit. Flatten each biscuit slightly with your hands and layer them evenly on the bottom of the prepared baking dish, covering the entire surface. Press down gently to seal the seams.

Add Chili Filling: Take the can of chili and spread it evenly over the biscuit layer, ensuring that it covers all the dough.

Mix in Vegetables and Seasoning: In a medium bowl, combine chopped green onions, diced bell peppers, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the chili layer.

Cheese It Up: Layer the shredded cheddar cheese generously over the top.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through, and the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.

Cooling & Serving: Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes. Cut into squares and garnish with freshly chopped cilantro. Serve warm with a dollop of sour cream if desired.
