Ingredients

2 cups fresh broccoli florets

1 cup diced ham (cooked)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

6 large eggs

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)

1 cup diced hash browns (frozen or fresh)

Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.

Prepare the Broccoli: Blanch the broccoli florets in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until they are bright green and slightly tender. Drain immediately and transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Once cooled, drain again and set aside.

Mix the Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika (if using). Ensure the mixture is well combined.

Layer the Bake: Spread the diced hash browns evenly at the bottom of the greased baking dish. Next, layer the blanched broccoli and diced ham over the hash browns. Sprinkle both cheese varieties evenly over the ham and broccoli.

Pour the Egg Mixture: Slowly pour the egg mixture over the layered ingredients, ensuring an even distribution. Gently press down any ingredients that might float to the surface.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes or until the egg is set and the top is golden brown. You can check for doneness by inserting a knife in the center; it should come out clean.

Cool and Garnish: Once baked, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool slightly for about 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Serve: Slice into squares and serve warm. This dish pairs wonderfully with a side of fresh fruit or a light salad.
