Ingredients

For the crust:

1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs (such as Oreos)

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

For the peanut butter layer:

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1 cup powdered sugar

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the chocolate layer:

1 cup heavy whipping cream

8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the garnish:

Crushed peanuts (optional)

Chocolate shavings (optional)

Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Crust:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Stir until the mixture resembles wet sand. Press it firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan. Bake for 8-10 minutes until set. Let cool completely.

      Make the Peanut Butter Layer:

In a large bowl, beat together the creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, softened cream cheese, and vanilla extract using an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Spread this mixture evenly over the cooled chocolate cookie crust.

          Prepare the Chocolate Layer:

In a small saucepan, heat the heavy whipping cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat and immediately add the chopped semi-sweet chocolate and granulated sugar. Let it sit for 2 minutes, then stir until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Stir in the vanilla extract.

              Assemble the Pie:

Pour the warm chocolate mixture over the peanut butter layer and spread it evenly with a spatula. Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours, or until set, to let the layers firm up.

                  Serve:

Before serving, optionally garnish with whipped cream, crushed peanuts, and chocolate shavings. Slice, serve, and indulge in the rich, creamy, and irresistible flavors!
