2 chicken breasts, diced

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup fresh basil pesto (store-bought or homemade)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

2 cups fresh spinach

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
