Ingredients

1 (25 oz) package of frozen cheese ravioli

3 cups marinara sauce

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 clove garlic, minced

Fresh basil leaves (for garnish, optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Marinara Sauce: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add olive oil. Once heated, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the marinara sauce, add Italian herbs, and season with salt and pepper. Stir well and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.

Layer the Baking Dish: In a 9x13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of the marinara sauce on the bottom. This will help prevent the ravioli from sticking to the dish.

Add the Ravioli: Arrange half of the frozen cheese ravioli in a single layer over the sauce. Pour half of the remaining marinara sauce over the ravioli, then sprinkle 1 cup of mozzarella cheese evenly on top.

Repeat Layers: Add the remaining ravioli on top, followed by the rest of the marinara sauce. Finally, sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese and all of the Parmesan cheese on top.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil (to prevent the cheese from burning) and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Remove the dish from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. If desired, garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
