Ingredients

2 cups plain Greek yogurt

1 large apple (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), finely diced

2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional for crunch)

A pinch of sea salt

Cooking spray or silicone molds

Instructions

Prep your molds: If using silicone molds for easy removal, there’s no need to spray them. Otherwise, lightly coat metal muffin tins or ring molds with cooking spray.

Mix the yogurt base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

Add the apples: Gently fold in the diced apples and the chopped walnuts or pecans (if using) into the yogurt mixture. Ensure the apples are evenly distributed.

Fill the molds: Spoon the yogurt mixture into the prepared molds, filling them about three-quarters full. Use a spatula or the back of a spoon to smooth the top if necessary.

Freeze: Place the filled molds in the freezer and let them freeze for at least 4-6 hours or until completely solid.

Release the rings: Once frozen, remove the yogurt rings from the molds. If they stick, let them sit at room temperature for about 5 minutes or gently run warm water over the outside of the molds for easier release.

Serve and enjoy: Serve the Frozen Apple Cinnamon Yogurt Rings immediately or store them in a freezer-safe bag or container for later enjoyment. Perfect for a refreshing snack or a healthy dessert!
