Ingredients

2 ripe bananas

1/2 cup natural peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)

1/4 cup chia seeds

1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)

1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)

A pinch of sea salt

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

1/2 cup crushed nuts (almonds or walnuts, optional for topping)

Instructions

Prepare the Bananas: Peel the bananas and slice them into 1/2-inch thick rounds.

Make the Peanut Butter Mixture: In a medium bowl, mix the peanut butter, honey (if using), and a pinch of sea salt until smooth and well combined.

Add Chia Seeds: Stir in the chia seeds and cinnamon (if using) into the peanut butter mixture until fully incorporated. The mixture will thicken as the chia seeds absorb moisture.

Combine Bananas and Peanut Butter: Place the banana slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Using a spoon, dollop a small amount of the peanut butter-chia mixture onto each banana slice, gently spreading it to cover the top.

Add Chocolate (Optional): If you’re using chocolate chips, sprinkle them generously over the peanut butter-layered bananas.

Top with Nuts (Optional): If desired, sprinkle crushed nuts on top to add a crunchy texture.

Freeze: Place the baking sheet in the freezer and let the clusters freeze for at least 2 hours or until firm.

Serve and Enjoy: Once frozen, transfer the banana clusters to an airtight container and store them in the freezer. Enjoy them as a healthy snack or dessert!
