Ingredients

2 ripe bananas

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smooth melting)

1/4 cup chopped nuts (e.g., walnuts or almonds) - optional

Sea salt (for sprinkling)

Instructions

Prepare the Bananas: Peel the ripe bananas and slice them into 1-inch thick rounds. Arrange the banana slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.

Dip the Bananas: Using a fork or toothpick, dip each banana slice into the melted chocolate until fully coated. Tap off any excess chocolate before placing it back onto the baking sheet.

Add Toppings: While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle the chopped nuts and a pinch of sea salt over each banana bite for added flavor and crunch.

Freeze: Place the baking sheet in the freezer and let the banana bites freeze for at least 1-2 hours, or until the chocolate has hardened completely.

Serve and Enjoy: Once frozen, remove the chocolate banana bites from the baking sheet and store them in an airtight container in the freezer. Enjoy them directly from the freezer as a delightful treat!

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 2 hours | Servings: About 12-15 bites
