Frozen Greek Yogurt Mocha Swirl Bars

Ingredients
  

For the Base:

2 cups plain Greek yogurt

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon cocoa powder

Pinch of salt

For the Mocha Swirl:

1/2 cup brewed espresso or strong coffee (cooled)

2 tablespoons cocoa powder

1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup

1 tablespoon chocolate chips (optional, for added texture)

For Topping (optional):

Shaved dark chocolate or chocolate sprinkles

Chopped nuts (walnuts or almonds)

A sprinkle of instant coffee granules

Instructions
 

Prepare the Base Mixture:

    In a large mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix well until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust the sweetness if necessary.

      Make the Mocha Swirl:

        In another bowl, mix the brewed espresso (or coffee) with cocoa powder and honey (or maple syrup) until well combined. If you like some texture, add chocolate chips to this mixture.

          Layer the Mixtures:

            Line a 9x5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later. Pour half of the yogurt mixture into the bottom of the pan, smoothing it out evenly.

              Add the Mocha and Swirl:

                Spoon the mocha mixture over the yogurt layer. Use a knife or a toothpick to gently swirl the mocha into the yogurt, creating a marbled effect. Pour the remaining yogurt mixture on top and smooth it out again.

                  Freeze:

                    Cover the pan with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or until completely set.

                      Serve:

                        Once frozen, remove the bars from the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Place the slab on a cutting board and cut into even squares or bars.

                          Garnish (optional):

                            Before serving, sprinkle shaved dark chocolate, nuts, or instant coffee granules on top for an extra touch of indulgence.
