Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast

1 1/4 cups warm milk (110°F)

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

1 tsp salt

6 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted (for coating)

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tbsp dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Activate the Yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

Mix the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the activated yeast mixture, melted butter, and the egg. Mix until a sticky dough forms.

Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface. Knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. If the dough is too sticky, add more flour as necessary.

First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Prepare the Garlic Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, and Italian herbs. Mix well and set aside.

Shape the Rolls: Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release air. Divide the dough into about 30 small equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball.

Assemble the Pull-Apart: In a baking dish (9x13 inch), layer the dough balls closely together. Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the top of the dough while ensuring they are well coated.

Second Rise: Cover the baking dish with a damp cloth and let it sit for another 30 minutes to rise slightly.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bake: Once preheated, bake the pull-apart bread in the oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown on top.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving. Enjoy while warm!
