Ingredients

1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes

3 tablespoons honey

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

Chopped green onions for garnish

Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

Marinate the Steak: In a medium bowl, mix together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, grated ginger, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes (if using). Add the steak cubes to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

Preheat Pan: Heat a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Make sure the pan is hot enough to sear the steak, which will enhance the flavor and texture.

Cook the Steak Bites: Remove the steak from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Add the steak bites to the heated skillet in a single layer, cooking in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Sear for about 2-3 minutes, until browned on one side, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes. The steak should be cooked to medium-rare (internal temperature of 130°F).

Add Remaining Marinade: Once the steak bites are cooked, pour the reserved marinade into the pan, stirring to coat the steak bites. Let the sauce simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and transfer the steak bites to a serving platter. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot as an appetizer or over rice for a delightful main course.
