Ingredients

For the Shrimp:

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 cloves garlic, minced

Zest of 1 lemon

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon ground cumin

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

For the Tacos:

8 small corn or flour tortillas

1 cup red cabbage, finely shredded

1 avocado, sliced

1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

1 tablespoon lime juice

Instructions

Marinate the Shrimp: In a bowl, combine the shrimp with minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, smoked paprika, ground cumin, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Toss until well-coated. Cover and let it marinate in the fridge for about 15-20 minutes.

Prepare the Tacos: While the shrimp is marinating, prepare the toppings. In a small bowl, mix the sour cream (or yogurt) with lime juice. This will serve as a delightful sauce for your tacos.

Cook the Shrimp: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the marinated shrimp in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they turn pink and opaque. Do not overcrowd the skillet; you may need to cook them in batches.

Warm the Tortillas: In another skillet or directly over a gas flame, quickly warm the tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until they are pliable. If using flour tortillas, be careful not to overheat them to remain soft.

Assemble the Tacos: To assemble, lay several shrimp on each tortilla. Top with shredded red cabbage, avocado slices, fresh cilantro, and a drizzle of the lime crema.

Garnish and Serve: Finish with a sprinkle of chopped fresh parsley for a burst of color and flavor. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for extra zing.
