Ingredients

1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup cream cheese, softened

1 large egg

1 ½ cups almond flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup marinara sauce (for dipping)

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Oregano, for sprinkling on top (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Melt the Cheeses: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella and cream cheese. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the mixture is completely melted and well combined (about 1-2 minutes total).

Prepare the Dough: In a separate mixing bowl, combine almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt. Mix well.

Combine Ingredients: Once the cheese mixture has cooled slightly, add the egg and stir until fully incorporated. Then, gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the cheese mixture, stirring until a dough forms.

Shape the Breadsticks: Transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet. With your hands, press it into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick. Use a knife or pizza cutter to score the dough into breadstick shapes without cutting all the way through.

Add Toppings: If desired, sprinkle oregano over the top for extra flavor.

Bake: Place the breadsticks in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

Serve: Allow the breadsticks to cool for a few minutes before cutting all the way through the scored marks. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping and garnish with fresh basil if desired.
