Meat Lovers Pizza Tacos

For the Taco Shells:

1 package of large flour tortillas (8-10 count)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

For the Meat Filling:

1/2 lb ground beef

1/2 lb Italian sausage, casings removed

1/2 lb pepperoni slices

1/2 lb cooked bacon, crumbled

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Toppings:

1 cup pizza sauce

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (for topping)

1/2 cup sliced black olives

1/2 cup diced tomatoes

1/2 cup sliced green bell peppers

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions
 

Make the Taco Shells: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place a tortilla on a baking sheet and sprinkle half of the mozzarella and cheddar cheese over half of the tortilla. Fold the tortilla over to create a taco shape. Repeat with remaining tortillas. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and the tortilla is crispy.

    Prepare the Meat Filling: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the diced onion until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute. Add the ground beef, Italian sausage, and seasonings (Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper, salt, and pepper). Cook until the meat is browned and cooked through, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Stir in the pepperoni and bacon, and cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.

      Assemble the Tacos: Once your taco shells are ready, remove them from the oven and spoon the meat filling into each taco shell. Top each taco with pizza sauce and a sprinkle of shredded mozzarella cheese.

        Final Bake: Return the filled tacos to the oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.

          Add Fresh Toppings: Carefully remove the tacos from the oven. Top with black olives, diced tomatoes, sliced bell peppers, and fresh basil leaves.
