1 lb ground turkey

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon cumin

Salt and pepper to taste

4 whole-wheat pita pockets

1 cup hummus (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup baby spinach, roughly chopped

1 medium cucumber, diced

1 medium tomato, diced

¼ red onion, thinly sliced

Feta cheese, crumbled (optional)

Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Cook the Turkey: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground turkey, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned.

    Season: Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the turkey is fully cooked and the spices are well blended. Remove from heat.

      Prepare the Pita Pockets: While the turkey is cooling, gently cut each pita pocket in half to create a pocket. If you wish, you can lightly toast them on a skillet for added warmth.
