1 lb ground turkey

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

½ teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

½ cup corn kernels (fresh or canned)

½ cup black beans, rinsed and drained

1 avocado, diced

¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Juice of 1 lime

1 head of butter or iceberg lettuce, leaves separated for cups

Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, hot sauce

Instructions
 

Cook the Turkey: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.

    Season the Meat: Add the ground turkey to the skillet. Break it up with a spatula and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Make sure to stir occasionally.

      Spice it Up: Sprinkle in the chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the spices to meld with the turkey.
