2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup breadcrumbs (Italian seasoned recommended)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 cup marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

2 cups broccoli florets

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Prepare the Chicken: Begin by preheating your skillet over medium heat. In a shallow dish, mix the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Coat the chicken breasts thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture.

    Sear the Chicken: Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to the skillet. Once hot, add the breaded chicken breasts, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

      Cook the Broccoli: In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets. Sauté them in the remaining oil for about 3-4 minutes, until they start to soften. You may add a splash of water and cover the skillet for 2 minutes to help steam the broccoli.

        Combine: Pour the marinara sauce over the broccoli and then place the seared chicken breasts back into the skillet. Spoon the sauce over the chicken and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
