Ingredients

2 cups creamy peanut butter

1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)

4 cups powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup chocolate chips (optional for topping)

Chopped peanuts for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Pan: Line an 8x8 inch or 9x9 inch square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.

Melt Butter: In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter, stirring frequently to prevent burning. Remove from heat once completely melted.

Mix Peanut Butter: Stir in the creamy peanut butter into the melted butter until fully combined and smooth.

Add Sugar & Flavor: Gradually sift in the powdered sugar, mixing until there are no lumps. Add the vanilla extract and salt, mixing until fully incorporated.

Pour & Spread: Pour the peanut butter mixture into the prepared baking dish. Use a spatula to spread it evenly into the corners, creating a smooth top.

Top with Chocolate (optional): If you like, melt the chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler until smooth, then pour over the peanut butter layer. Use a spatula to spread it evenly. For added texture, sprinkle chopped peanuts on top.

Chill: Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours, or until it is firm to the touch.

Slice & Serve: Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper edges. Place it on a cutting board and slice into squares.

Enjoy: Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator for longer freshness.
