1 banana, frozen

1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of your choice)

1/2 cup Greek yogurt (or dairy-free yogurt)

2 tablespoons maple syrup (or honey)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional, for added nutrition)

A pinch of salt

Handful of ice cubes (optional, for a chilled smoothie)

Toppings: chopped walnuts, shredded coconut, or a sprinkle of cinnamon

Instructions

Prep the Carrots: Wash, peel, and chop the fresh carrots into smaller pieces for easier blending.

Blend it Up: In a blender, add the chopped carrots, frozen banana, almond milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, chia seeds (if using), and a pinch of salt.

Ice it Down: If you prefer a cold smoothie, add a handful of ice cubes to the blender.

Blend Smooth: Blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides of the blender to ensure everything is well combined.

Taste and Adjust: Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more maple syrup or honey. Blend again if you made any adjustments.

Serve: Pour the smoothie into glasses and top with your choice of chopped walnuts, shredded coconut, or an extra sprinkle of cinnamon.

Enjoy: Serve immediately and enjoy the vibrant flavor of your Spiced Carrot Cake Smoothie!
