Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine pasta

1 cup shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 cup steak, thinly sliced (filet mignon or ribeye recommended)

2 tbsp olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup white wine (such as Sauvignon Blanc)

1 tsp fresh thyme leaves

1 tsp fresh basil, chopped

Salt and pepper, to taste

Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

Sauté Shrimp: In a large skillet over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the shrimp. Season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 2-3 minutes until they are pink and opaque. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Cook Steak: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove steak from the skillet and set aside with the shrimp.

Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until fragrant and translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the cherry tomatoes and cook until they begin to soften, about 2 minutes.

Deglaze the Pan: Pour in the white wine and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Let it simmer for about 2 minutes to reduce slightly.

Add Cream and Herbs: Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream, fresh thyme, and basil. Allow the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes, then add the cooked pasta to the skillet.

Combine Everything: Add the cooked shrimp and steak back into the skillet. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water until you reach desired consistency. Toss everything to combine and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.

Serve: Plate the pasta in bowls and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves for garnish.
